Select the link that says Get Affiliate Code.

Select your particular merchant from the drop-down menu.

Press “Get Affiliate Code”

Now you have a choice between using a common affiliate hop link, which E-Junkie recommends, and using a product specific link. (This seller only has 1 product, so this will be moot.)

I just copied and pasted the common affiliate hop link, and this is what it looks like:

Click here to visit Andrew Kurnikovs website!

and the URL:

https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?cl=14500&c=ib&aff=30071

Some vendors have multiple products, and they may let you sell individual products on your own website.

You may (and should) customize your text as much as possible so that you can generate more and more sales from your web visitors.

That’s it, it is very simple to generate affiliate codes. When a user follows your affliate link, a cookie will be placed on their computer for up to 6 months.

Browse the E-Junkie Marketplace
Identify What You Want to Sell
Selecting the Products You Want to Sell

Browse the E-Junkie Marketplace

Identify What You Want to Sell

Selecting the Products You Want to Sell

Now that you are a full-fledged member of E-Junkie, you can browse through the marketplace and select your first digital or physical product to offer your customers.

1. Click here to browse all current E-Junkie affiliate programs

As of 2/23/2009, there were 123 pages of affiliate programs. This will only increase with time, so I recommend that instead of browsing through every single page, you should conduct a search to help you save time.

2. Identify what you want to sell.

The first thing you should ask yourself is, Who will I be selling to? For example, I just randomly selected an eBook written by the author known as CollinsP on E-Junkie:

Website Flipping Secrets Exposed It sells for $18 retail, and you get a 65% commission for every sale, netting you a profit of $11.70 for every sale you make.

With that sort of deal, you might want to just load up all of the highest paying affiliate programs onto your site and assume you’ll make tons of money. Unfortunately, that is not going to be the case. You must select your affiliate programs very carefully based on your answer to the question, Who will I be selling to?

So, let’s say you have a forum dedicated to improving SEO skills for beginner Internet marketers. It would make sense to find out if there were any eBooks dedicated to this subject, and a quick search reveals 7 pages of results. Now select an affiliate product that you like:

For example, there is an eBook called SEO Easy Way, it is medium priced at $67.00, but very targeted to beginner SEO tactics. You can make 65% commission per sale, or $40.20 per sale. So let’s try this out and get started.

Every product is listed individually and will have the price of the item, and the commission percentage paid out by the seller.

3. Select the item you want to sell.

Pull up SEO Easy Way, or any other product, from the search results and click on the link provided. For example, SEO Easy WAY + Valuable Bonuses [Affiliate Information].

Now you will see a link that says buy now, and below that is written:

“Like this product? Spread word about it and you will get 60.00% of the sale price. Click here join Andrew Kurnikovs’s affiliate program.

There are no obligations once you join an affiliate program, you can join as many as you want.

E-Junkie Buyer Groups - Buyers of specific products will be placed into groups. Their email addresses will be available to you, and you can use this to follow-up with customers to inquire about their experience with you, or to email them about new products on your website.

Show your logo instead of your name - Customers like to have a professional looking website, especially when they are paying you money.

Consider paying someone to translate your website or e-book - E-Junkie allows you to accept multiple currencies, not all of your customers will come from English speaking countries. In fact, more and more people are joining the Internet from non-English speaking countries.

Integrate Google Analytics to your website - The best way to increase your sales is to efficiently capture the attention of visitors. By using Google Analytics, or another web tracking software, you can fix up your shopping cart integration and increase your sales.

I have personally generated over $10,000 in sales using a single ‘free shipping’ coupon for a single website over a period of 3 months. I want to share with you my secret to making money with Internet coupons.

Since E-Junkie allows for an unlimited number of coupons, I recommend the following:

Create a coupon for a product. Make it interesting and valuable; free shipping, no tax, or $5/off can usually work.

Post it to the following websites: fatwallet.com, retailmenot.com, slickdeals.net, plus others if you have them in mind.

I also recommend you visit blogs that are in your industry and post your coupon as comments to blogs and forums.

That was literally what I did. The luck that I had came because a few bloggers decided to share my coupon code because it was so good. They did it for free too!

Once you are logged into E-Junkie, go to: Seller Admin > Cart Discounts & Gift Coupons, then you can

Apply a discount in the shopping cart - This applies to the buyer’s entire order total or specifically to their shipping fees; the discount can be applied when the user enters a coupon code, or when the buyer reaches a price or quantity threshold in their shopping cart.

Item discounts - With E-Junkie, you get the marketing benefit of offering discounts, as opposed to just reducing your prices without anyone knowing the difference.

Affiliates are your commission based salesmen. You need a quality product and favorable commission splits, then you can have a team of affiliates working hard to bring sales. A group of even 3 highly active affiliates can bring you thousands of dollars in sales. And if it is a very popular product, you might get hundreds of affiliates to sell your product for you.

Commissions

Affiliate Links - Hop Link or Direct Link: What’s the difference?

E-Junkie Marketplace + Other Places to Promote Your Program

Paying Out Affiliates

Providing “Extra” Incentives to Affiliates

Communicating with Your Affiliates

Commissions

E-Junkie charges ZERO fees for using their affiliate program. There is no commission paid to E-Junkie, unlike Clickbank’s affiliate program.

You can pay out affiliates up to 100% of sales.

For digital goods, it is recommended to offer at least 50% of the sales price in commission. If it is an extremely popular item that “sells itself,” then you might be able to offer a lower commission rate like 30%; but if it will be a “challenge” to sell your product, think about offering around 75% in commission in order to motivate your affiliates to sell more.

For physical goods, keep in mind your profit margins. I have seen that most physical products offer commissions between 5-20%. The higher the better for affiliates, but make sure you are able to make some money.

Affiliate links - Hop Link or Direct Link: What’s the difference?

A hop link sends users to your site in order to complete an order. It places a cookie on the buyers computer that lasts for 6 months (unless the cookie is deleted). The hop-link allows affiliates to offer their customers your entire inventory with a single click.

A direct link allows affiliates to sell products on their own website. The direct link is more professional because the buyer does not need to know she is buying from a 2nd party.

E-Junkie Marketplace + Other Places to Promote Your Program

The E-Junkie marketplace displays nearly every item that is available on the E-Junkie system. Because of the fast growth of E-Junkie, more and more potential affiliates are browsing the marketplace for quality items to sell. There is currently only a search functionality on the E-Junkie marketplace; E-Junkie needs to redesign their marketplace so it is easier to find the products that buyers and affiliates want.

You should promote your affiliate program through relevant web forums where people are actually looking to find new affiliate programs.

If you find a website that you think should be selling your product, contact them directly and make them an offer.

Paying out affiliates

Unlike ClickBank, E-Junkie requires you to manage your own affiliate program. You may pay your affiliates in any way that you wish, including cash, check, money order, or bank wire. However, if you are managing a lot of affiliates, E-Junkie is links with PayPal to offer mass-payments.

At the end of each month you will receive a “mass-payment” file that works with PayPal’s Mass Payment system. They charge small fees for this service, but it saves you a lot of tediously spent time.

You can pay affiliates in the following currencies, and their specific countries:

EUR - Euro

USD - U.S. Dollar

GBP - Pound Sterling

CAD - Canadian Dollar

JPY - Yen

AUD - Australian Dollar

NZD - New Zealand Dollar

CHF - Swiss Franc

HKD - Hong Kong Dollar

SGD - Singapore Dollar

SEK - Swedish Krona

DKK - Danish Krone

PLN - Polish Zloty

NOK - Norwegian Krone

HUF - Hungarian Forint

CZK - Czech Koruna

MXN - Mexican Peso

ILS - Israeli New Shekel

Providing “Extra” Incentives to Affiliates

E-Junkie allows you to give individual affiliates a higher percentage or dollar-amount per sale that they drive to your busienss. If your affiliates are beating your expectations you should consider offering incentives to keep them motivated. You may also consider this option when approaching a website that you find highly desirable to market within.

Communicating with Your Affiliates

You will have access to all of the e-mail addresses that your affiliates used to sign up and get paid with. It is highly recommended that you maintain a constant contact with them in order to remind them of your product offerings. This is especially important because there are so many affiliate programs out there, and as they always say: “It is more expensive to find new affiliates than it is to keep your existing ones.” *Keep your affiliates going, they can be the bloodflow of your business.

Making a Sale

With E-Junkie you have the choice between implementing a AddToCart or BuyItNow icons. AddToCart works well if you have multiple items for sale, especially for physical goods stores. If you are an E-Book seller then you might want to just load up a BuyItNow icon to the bottom of your sales pitch page and try to close the sale immediately.

E-Junkie allows you to fully customize your cart options. You can turn off javascript if you are going to post your sales icons on MySpace or Facebook.

Getting Paid

E-Junkie is the middle man between you and your payment processor. If you choose to load your PayPal, or Google Checkout account for your E-Junkie sales, then those companies would pay you out, not E-Junkie.

Tips for Selling Digital Goods with E-Junkie

Make sure that you properly integrate the system into your website, the worst thing that can happen is for a potential customer to be confused because of a simple error you made. E-Junkie has a great customer service department, and I recommend having their email address handy once you are a member.

If you are currently using ClickBank for an Ebook sales page, I recommend switching to E-Junkie immediately. The reason is that ClickBank charges you $1 plus 7.5% of each sale. E-Junkie costs you about $5/month for up to 10 products; all you pay per transaction is the 3rd party credit card fees, which are about $0.30 plus 2.5% of each sale. To make the math simpler, if you sold 20 $20 E-Books with ClickBank per month, it would cost you $50 in fees paid to ClickBank. With E-Junkie, it would only cost you $21 in fees, that is a $29 savings!

Try offline marketing: bumper stickers, fliers, radio commercials, or direct mail are traditional forms of marketing that you can apply to selling digital goods.

Tips for Selling Physical Goods with E-Junkie

Make sure your inventory is UP-TO-DATE. I can’t tell you how often I hear about vendors who get bad reviews and customers who speak badly about them because they didn’t keep their inventory up to date. This is very easy to do with E-Junkie’s inventory management system.

Offer special shipping deals. You can increase your sales and profits by offering free shipping if people spend a certain amount. Amazon.com is the master of this sales boosting technique. Free shipping can be the difference between a $10 and a $25 sale, or a $50 and a $100 sale.

Post “special deals” in forums like Fatwallet.com, Slickdeals.net, etc. This is a great free way to draw traffic into your site.
